Animated, or flat?

I've been trying to make a banner lately, but I'm not sure what type of banner it should be.
So, an animated banner would take me a long while, but it would be better for GTOP100, on another hand, a flat banner wouldn't take me too long, and would look almost as good as an animated banner.
The animated banner wouldn't have too many effects.
The flat banner would have alot of effects.

So, which banner should I make? Animated, or flat?

ANIMATED ONES TAKE TOO LONG, IT TOOK ME FOUR DAYS STRAIGHT TO MAKE THE OLD ONE. ;-;

Plus, I'm somewhat out of ideas, people barely posted any on my OLD banner, so.

I would personally say... go by your own choice. If you use your own thoughts and mind, you will make the best banner you can possibly make Smile

Going by the choice of another will constrict your decision making. Do whatever feels comfortable.
